From The Chair

Welcome to the

Japanese Culture Society

日本文化協会へようこそ!

It has always been my wish to be able to learn and tell me people about what I have discovered while on my journey to become fluent in Japanese.  While I still have a ways to go in my studies I am excited about the possibilities that are ahead.  For those that are learning or want to learn the language I am right there with you.  People who are interested in the culture there is plenty to explore.

I hope to use this blog as a place to put personal notes and experiences that may not fit anywhere else on the website.  This page may contain advise on choosing sake, travel tips, even notes on a particular piece of kanji that I though was interesting.  So please bear with us as my friends and I continue to change and add to this site.   I hope it will be helpful to you along your path to explore and experience the language, the culture and the cuisine of this fascinating country.

Best regards,

Russell Rice,   JCS Chairman
