Comedy Night
The Japanese Culture Society has reserved a room at the Houston Area League of PC Users (Hal-PC) to present episodes of different comedy series in an effort to lighten peoples spirit.
Admission is free for Hal-Pc members, non-members it is $5. After the show there will be a contest to win Hal-Pc memberships. So bring your sense of humor and a $5 bill to the Hal-Pc building Saturday, Jan 31, 2009 7pm. Any one caught attending without a sense of humor will be beaten with a rubber chicken. We take humor seriously.
Information on Hal-Pc and directions can be found at www.hal-pc.org.
Hope to see you there,

I want to thank everyone who came out for comedy night and made it a success. As this was my first time to do a night denoted entirely comedies, I learned that it is not easy to find shows that are funny right from the start. Comedies like any joke take time to set up before you would find the punch line to be funny. Also, the shows that are funny right from the beginning tend to all have the same theme. So next time instead of showing seven different series, I am going to show three episode of three different series which will increase the selection of shows I can choose. Again, I want to thank everyone who showed up for this first experient at comedy night.
Regard,
Russell Rice
JCS Chairman.
Side Note: As punishment for a few particular people that did not come....I give a 15 minute preview of my newly purchased Hi-Def Blu-ray Version of Ghost in the Shell 2.0. To those that did not come I have one word to say to you....suffer!
